Dear Participants, Partners, and Collaborators,

TRREE is happy to announce the launch of two new national supplements for Lithuania and South Africa as well as a new layout for the national supplements.

Concerning the Lithuanian module, it is the first one to be supported by EURECNET, the European Network of Research Ethics Committees. We wish to thank the authors Jurate Serepkaite and Vilma Lukaseviciene for their contribution, as well as Prof. Eugenijus Gefenas, vice-president of EURECNET board for his advices in the process. The national supplement is available in Lithuanian. It offers direct access to the national laws and regulations. We hope that it will prove useful for the research community and the REC in this country. Concerning the other modules financed by EURECNET, wait for the national supplements from Portugal, Latvia and Romania as well as a full version of TRREE in Polish and the GCP module in Portuguese.

The South African national supplement has been funded by the Fogarty International Centre of the US National Institutes of Health through a grant to the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Thank you to Nivedhna Singh for drafting the module and to Ann Strode and Joanna Bourke-Martignoni for their expert advices in the process. A special mention should also be done to Prof. Douglas Wassenaar for supervising the whole project and bringing the necessary resources together. As for the Nigerian national supplement, the South African one includes a quiz to help users evaluate their knowledge on their national laws and regulation.

Last but not least, TRREE is in the process of reorganizing the layout of the national supplements to facilitate the access and navigation in those modules. All the available resources for each national supplement will be displayed in one page with a direct access that remains completely open, while, for those national supplements including a quiz, it will be required to register on TRREE to undergo the evaluation.

Looking forward to see you soon on TRREE

Best, Cordialement,
