Dear TRREE users,

We are pleased to announce the publication of Finland’s Regulatory Framework. This new framework follows the content, structure, and presentation of all Regulatory Framework previously launched this year (see: 14 regulatory framework updated in April 2024).

This regulatory framework is a unique resource for accessing and understanding the ethics and regulation of research involving human beings in Finland.

It is accessible to all stakeholders in the field of research – including researchers, sponsors, potential or involved participants and their communities, members of Research Ethics Committees, and others. Anyone involved in a research project or wishing to initiate one can consult the applicable law and prepare accordingly.

This regulatory framework can also be used as a training tool to expand users’ knowledge and to conduct comparative law research into Finnish regulations on research involving human beings.
